Katy Trail State Park - Missouri State Park Route

The Katy Trail was once a thriving rail corridor and today serves as a long recreational trail. The trail starts in Machens in East Missouri then follows the winding Missouri River on its northern bank. The stretch from St. Charles to Boonville is a part of the official segment of the Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail. The Katy Trail ends in Clinton, Missouri in the West. The trail also runs through Columbia and Jefferson City, Missouri's state capital. The park is easily accessible from one of its 26 trailheads.
